State Senate District Two challenger Sharon Russell from Rowlett continues to stretch the truth about her background in copy on her Facebook page and website, despite my emails requests that she correct it.
On FB, she incorrectly lists herself under “Elected Office” as founder and president of the Rowlett Republican Club, when the reality is that the Club is a PAC that she personally founded and she has never been “elected” as its president.
On her website, she said she came from Alabama, “jumped into the local political arena with all of her heart and soul,” and quickly “rose to the top.”
What top?
“In just a short time Sharon quickly rose to the top. She was elected Precinct chair by her peers where she worked to reignite her fellow citizens to fight for their country. She then went on to become Dallas County Administrative Coordinator for the Dallas County GOP where she helped tirelessly on both national and local campaigns during the 2008 elections.”
It’s true she was elected as a Precinct chair, but she only worked in the part-time position of Dallas County GOP Administrative Coordinator for three weeks, according to Jonathan Neerman.
I wouldn’t call a part-time position for three weeks the “top.”
