Rockwall-Heath moves up to 4th in Class 4A-District 10 Area football rankings

After rallying to beat Richardson Pearce Friday night, 55-49, the Rockwall Heath Hawks (8-0) moved from fifth to fourth place in the Dallas Morning News Class 4A-District 10 Area football rankings.

Rockwall-Heath is averaging 41 points and 464.8 yards against District 10-4A opponents.

Royse City stayed in 12th place, after barely losing to top-ranked Highland Park, 48-45.

Jason Castro fourth-place finisher on American Idol!

He may not have won the title of American Idol and may have been voted off the hit Fox TV show this evening but Rockwall’s Jason Castro once again received millions of votes for his extraordinary performances week after week. We’re proud of you Jason and wish you the very best in the future! Here’s his rendition of Bob Dylan’s classic hit “Mr. Tambourine Man,” during which Jason unfortunately forgot some of the lyrics, but kept going anyway as a true professional does.

Mayor Cecil, Mayor Pro Tem Lewis seen at Blue Canyon

Blue Canyon Kitchen donates $3,500 to Helping Hands

Blue Canyon Kitchen, Tavern & Wine Bar at The Harbor donated $3,500 to Helping Hands this afternoon as they had promised to do as the result of a fundraising event held at Blue Canyon last January during their grand opening celebration.
