Reports are sketchy at this point but In Rockwall’s first home game of the season, Allen High School’s defense proved too much for the Yellow Jackets offense as they shut down Rockwall, 24-6.
Rockwall’s lone score came on an intercepted pass, which was returned for a touchdown by an as-yet unnamed player. The Yellow Jackets came no closer to additional points than a missed field goal in the first half. In the second half, Allen’s ferocious Eagle’s defense stopped Rockwall time after time from driving for points.
Allen’s junior quarterback Matt Brown accounted for two touchdown passes, plus a 43-yard run for another TD. He also scored on a 28-yard run which was called back due to a penalty for an illegal block.
Rockwall now stands at 1-2 for the season. Allen remains undefeated.
More detailed reports will become available over the weekend.
