Kendial Lawrence leads list of All-Area Offensive Player of the Year

Dallas Morning News Sports reporter Tim McMahon got a good look at Kendial Lawrence last Friday night when the Hawks beat Highland Park in overtime, 38-31.

McMahon saw the outstanding Hawks’ running back score five TDs and rush for 365 yards on 39 carries.

As a result, he says he was so impressed that Lawrence now has a slight lead on Plano’s Rex Burkhead on his list of All-Area Offensive Player of the Year candidates entering the playoffs.

There’s also a Class 4A playoffs preview video which mentions Highland Park, Royse City and Rockwall-Heath.
