Mentally ill woman missing from home near Rockwall

A woman with schizophrenia and a history of suicidal tendencies has been declared missing and endangered by the Collin County Sheriff’s Department.

She was last seen about 6:45 a.m. Monday at her home near the boundary with Rockwall County. She is apparently driving a 2008 red Pontiac Grand Prix with dealer tags.

Diane Medlin, 61, is 5 feet 3 inches tall and 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

She was recently released from the Terrell State Hospital and is on medication but did not take it with her when she left home.

According to her husband, she took about $200 in cash but has no cellphone or credit cards and has not contacted family members.
